When Simon’s at work…
Simon’s career in property began in 2010, and he has worked at Kite Mortgages since 2022. He enjoys the opportunity to focus on the individual, working with clients to achieve their mortgage and protection needs while offering a dedicated, bespoke service, making the experience as calm and informed as possible throughout.
Assisting people in the purchase of their first home is Simon’s speciality, and he offers guidance through the process. He also has significant experience in understanding the policies and criteria for Tier-2 visa applications and can assist in advising on the possibilities and limitations that might arise.
When Simon’s at home…
Being the proud father of a three-year-old daughter, spare time is very much a pre-2019 thing for Simon. If he’s being honest, he much prefers a trip to the cinema at 10 am on a Saturday to 10 pm!
When he can, Simon likes to play golf and has a twice-yearly weekend getaway to play in a “friendly” competition. What started as a bit of fun with a handful of friends has escalated into a genuine rivalry, with trophies, awards and personalised shirts to boot.
Running has always been his escape from life’s stresses, and it’s one of the only times he genuinely switches off.
Simon’s proudest moment as a mortgage adviser is…
There is something genuinely heartwarming about helping people buy their first home. There was one client whose journey from having their offer accepted on a property to moving in lasted over 18 months. Although it was a tricky one to get to completion, their happiness on the day they collected the keys is something I’ll never forget.
